Teacher reading to students and layout of all Learning Dynamics materials

Learning Dynamics Samples:

Letter Lessons, Virtual Lessons, Instructions, Books, and Songs

Sample materials provided are not representative of finalized Texas specific resources. Learning Dynamics is currently in the process of developing a TPG/TEKS aligned resource customized for Texas. These samples are intended to be illustrative, providing a snapshot of materials that serve as the starting point for the finalized Learning Dynamics Texas product.

STEP 1: How It Works

Learning Dynamics Texas process:

1. Teaching 1 letter and sound per lesson (not in alphabetical order). We start with 5 of the most common letters and sounds first. M, A, P, S, T.

2. After the first five letters and sounds, we teach the concept of blending so the child can read words made up of just those 5. We continue with letters and sounds 1 at a time and blending words with the letters they know.

3. Next after the first 8 letters, sounds, and blending, we introduce the children to their 1st book. Which is made up of words of only the letters and sounds they have learned so far. They can apply what they have learned and grow in confidence and excitement! We continue to grow from there.

4. The decodable books are in the following order and go along with the lesson order:

  • Blue books – short vowels
  • Red books – long vowels
  • Yellow books – consonant blends
  • Green books – digraphs

The children get to keep all 53 books and take them home to build their own library at home!
